Blocking the A12 in solidarity

What a day, what a crowd. Today, 7500 friendly faces came together and stand in solidarity with those suffering from the climate crisis today (and tomorrow) and to ask our government to stop subsidising those that are pushing us to climate hell.

With annual fossil fuel subsidies of approximately €30.000.000.000,- (30 billion) the Dutch government keeps fuelling the climate crisis even though they have promised, in 2013, together with other EU countries, to halt these subsidies by 2020.

Well, it’s 2023. Here we are, sounding the alarm. Here you are, extinguishing the wrong fire. But with the hot weather today, the water canons were kinda refreshing. It was a waste of water, though!
